The mower blade cuts the grass and is then quickly discarded out of the side discharge chute at the side of the mower deck, keeping the deck clear for a smooth mowing experience. Insert the supplied mulch plug into the discharge chute to prevent the grass cuttings from leaving the cutter deck. Instead, the hybrid mower blade recuts them into tiny pieces before dropping them back into the ground.
For maximum mulching performance, a dedicated mulching blade is available for purchase separately. The 50 SVP-H boasts the newly developed PRO Variable Speed Gearbox, which enables the user to set the wheel drive speed using the controls on the handlebars. The variable speed drive is useful when working on lawns with different terrains or mowing conditions.
