Our Star and Moon firepit is that bit different as it has stars and moon shapes cut out of the body. The safety rail helps keep hands and arms from getting burnt (although - this does get hot too, so you still need to be very careful around it). Please note - the firepit is made from painted steel, and so will age with time and use.
