Wood is a sustainable and renewable raw material. Great importance is attached to ecologically responsible timber management. For this reason, Lasita Maja supplies certified wood.
Minor cracks, knots and slight twists reflect the character of the materials used. The wooden parts of this kit are untreated in color. Wood used outdoors is exposed to constant weathering, as well as the risk of fungal and insect attack.
Therefore, a regular protective coating on all sides is absolutely necessary. First, use Wood Preservative Primer to protect against fungal and insect attack. Then, to protect against discoloration and damage caused by UV light, apply an intermediate and a final coat of high-quality wood preservative stain or paint.
Allow for maintenance intervals of approx. 4-5 years, at the latest before visible damage occurs. Please also observe the processing guidelines of the paint and stain manufacturer.

The floor is made of untreated 18 mm wood planks with tongue and groove including impregnated base bearings. This house can be built mirror-inverted.
