It's scientifically proven that swimming pool pH levels should be between 7.2 and 7.6 (this can be tested using ClearWater Dip Test Strips). When water pH levels clamber above 7.6 alkalinity increases and pH treatment is required. Anything and everything that enters a pool contains its own pH level which, quite naturally, alters the pH balance of a pool.
Contaminants can include falling leaves, trespassing animals, dead skin and even faeces! Using the pH reducer couldn't be easier. Once the recommended amount has been dissolved in warm water the solution is added to the pool, reducing high pH water to a more suitable level. After eight hours pH levels should be checked again and decreased or increased until they fall within the bracket of 7.2 to 7.6.
