Supplied in rolls of 10 sacks, they are strong, fully compostable and certified to EN13432. They also feature a "star-sealed" base, whereby the base of the bag is gathered and sealed in such a way as to provide extra strength. This helps to prevent the bag breaking when full of garden waste, but does not affect the overall capacity of the bag.
Biobags have now rebranded as Compost Bag - the same manufacturer producing the same great product! So, look out for the new name, Compost Bag! What can these be used for? The bags are designed for heavier/bulkier waste, but of course can still be used in a bin. If using in a bin, do remember the dimensions of all bins vary, so be sure to check the measurements below against your actual bin and also allow enough length to fold over the top rim and spread across the base of the bin. Please note, they are not strong enough for building waste.
Certification Our bags are fully certified as compostable and biodegradable to EN13432, the internationally recognised certification for compostable material. They are printed with the seedling logo and are accepted by most local authorities for food waste composting schemes. Storage & Usage Compostable liners should be stored in a cool, dark, dry place, otherwise they will start to degrade and split.
It's very important to use all bags within 18 months of purchase and keep them out of sunlight and away from sources of heat and steam. It's also a good idea to ensure that you use all your oldest bags first.
